The agreement is effective immediately and brings the NextWav 2.5G PoE switch series to customers across the United States.
WISPs and enterprise teams can now buy NextWav through the distributor they already know, with WAV’s pre-sales engineering, technical support, inventory and logistics behind every order.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR NETWORK OPERATORS
Edge sites have been stuck between two kinds of switch. A 1G switch powers the passive radios on the tower, while a 2.5G enterprise switch handles new access points but cannot power those radios. The result is two switches, two spares and two truck rolls at the same site.
NextWav was built to remove that. It gives operators 2.5G access and 10G uplinks in a switch that works with the equipment they already run, and with the equipment they plan to deploy next.

- NextWav Lite (8-port, HC8MT2XP-UP) – 8 × 2.5G ports, 2 × 10G SFP+ uplinks and 250W PoE budget with Lite L2 management, a compact passive PoE option for smaller sites
